The Home Energy Services Program helps MBLP customers reduce energy waste, improve home comfort, and lower monthly electric costs through no-cost energy assessments, direct installation of efficiency upgrades, and rebates for advanced technologies.

For Developers & Contractors
Build Efficient from the Start
The Developers & Contractors Program supports new home construction by encouraging the installation of high-efficiency, all-electric technologies during the building phase.

Incentives as provided to help reduce upfront costs and making it easier to build energy-efficient homes that meet modern performance standards.

Appliance Recycling
Get Rid of Old Appliances — Get Rewarded
The Appliance Recycling Program helps customers safely dispose of old, inefficient appliances while earning bill credits and keeping harmful materials out of landfills.
How It Works
Free Home Pick-Up

Schedule a pickup for large appliances like refrigerators or freezers. No pick ups for small items alone. (AC, Dehumidifiers, Mini Fridges).

Appliances must be placed outside at pickup time
-
Pickups require at least one large appliance
Community Drop-Off Events
-
Held throughout the year at local partner locations
-
Customers receive:
-
$50 incentive for large appliances
-
$10 incentive for small appliances
-

Income-qualified participants may also receive a free energy-saving kit
- Each customer is limited to (2) of each type of item per account per year. I.E. 2 Fridges, 2 Freezers, 2 Window AC , 2 Dehumidifiers, 2 Mini fridges for a total of $260.00 per year.
By scheduling a time for hassle-free pickup of your unneeded appliances, you’re taking an important step in saving energy and money.
*Please note you do not receive a rebate if you are having your appliance picked up.
Eligible appliances must be in working order to qualify. Below is a list of appliances currently accepted for recycling. Find out how much additional energy and money you can save when your appliances aren’t in use here.
